How to use CBD for anxiety


Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid extracted from the cannabis plant. Its function is to bind to receptors found in the central nervous system and interacts with serotonin. These regulate the behaviour that cause anxiety.

“We found that existing preclinical evidence strongly supports CBD as a treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder when administered acutely;” (Thiesen 2015)
